Alrighty then,

Week 1 is done and on the books. And right out of the gate we have a perfect score of 55 to start the 2024 season. And we had four other people going 9 of 10 with a chance to have a perfect score. To put it into perspective, we did not have anyone score 55 in 2023.

Taking 1st place with that perfect score is our 2016 Champions, the husband and wife team of Christina & Todd. This is their first time in the ca$hi$h since tying for first in Week 14 of the 2021 season. And they did it picking their favorite team the 49ers as their 10 pointer on Monday night to do it. WooHoo! Finally the the drought is over and maybe the table is set for a good run this year.

Taking 2nd with a near perfect score of 54 is our most recent entry into the pool, James C, literally getting in about 30 minutes before the early games started on Sunday. It looked like he was going to be the Week 1 winner, but there was still that pesky MNF game to play. And as it happens often in TWFP, someone comes out of nowhere and steals the glory. At any rate, he's off to a great start in TWFP.

Just a point off the pace taking 3rd place with another great score of 53 is Chris C. Another one ending a drought, it's his first time in the ca$hi$h since Week 15 of the 2021 season. And just one point behind him in 4th was Carson with another near perfect score of 52. Just amazing that the top four were that close.

In 5th place we have a three way tie between Adrianna with two N's, 9 of 10 too Jim K, and another of our first year players Maxx all with 49. A score good enough to win most weeks in TWFP, just not this one.

Honorable mention goes to Adriana with one N, Doodles, Randy and Rudy all with 48. CONGRATS TO ALL THE WINNERS!

And kudos to Doodles for giving me the heads up on the Philly and GB score. Sometimes the site gives both teams the win and I have to go in and fix it manually. So if you had Green Bay, but your score dropped today, that's why.

Alright, the spreads will be set and the pick sheet emailed out on Wednesday morning.

Alrighty everyone,

Today's the big kickoff day, the start of the best of the five seasons!

If you have an initial by your name and have any trouble logging in, try putting a space between your name and your initial. If that's not it, be sure to let me know right away so we can get you hooked up.

Today we are at 67-69 players. WOOHOO! That's a new record for TWFP. Still waiting for 100% confirmation from one of them. And l haven't heard from four of the regulars that were IN last year. We might get to 70. That being said, let's all welcome three more new players to the water, Fred, Maxx and Pam T. Thank You for your contribution!

We will have five payouts again this year. The weekly winner will get $125 duckets, and the rest of the ca$i$h gets dished out accordingly. The overall winner and Champion of TWFP 2024 gets $600, and the remainder dished accordingly. But more importantly, the overall winner gets the 2024 Champions trophy to put on their mantle with life's other great accomplishments!

If you have anyone else that wants to jump in the pool, tell them to send me an email and ca$i$h, and I'll sign them up.

We accept entries up to Week 4. If we have any, they will get the average score for the weeks they were not in. The entry is still $125.

Just a reminder, you DON'T have to make all your picks before the start of the Thursday game, but they must be done by kickoff of the Sunday game(s). Pro Tip: You can flip your pick and points around as long as the game(s) hasn't started.

Okay, the Commish is feeling as confident as LSU was before the last minute antics of USC, so I'm hoping for a better start than my college team, AGAIN.

A note for all the first timers, the pick sheet is just a guideline, the website is the bible. So if I make a type-o, go with what's on the site unless I send out a correction.

A reminder, the Thursday and Friday game(s) are optional to play and ALL picks must be done before kickoff of the game(s). Some people like to do all their picks at once, and some like to wait until Sunday. What ever suits your fancy, just get them done before they lock or you will get zero points for that game. No excuses for sleeping in or the dog eating your pick sheet.
