Well.............

It looked like we might have another first place tie. The Redskins finally came alive in the 4th quarter but couldn't hold off Da Bears.

Taking 1st place all by himself with a really good score of 46 is Chris M. His first dip in the honey this year but probably not his last. 2nd place went to Steven with 41 making a good recovery after last weeks slide, and getting his third mention of the season. 3rd place is a tie between Adrianna with two N's and Andy M both with 38. That's two out of three weeks for her and two in a row for him landing in the ca$hi$h. In 5th place we have a three way tie between Gary, Kris and Riel all with 35. Honorable mention goes to Jake FSF and Rick. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!

In the overall points race, Jeremy stays in 1st place for another week. Andy M moves up two spots into 2nd. James C drops one to 3rd. Steven moves back into the top group in 4th and Riel A joins the leaders for the first time in 5th. Just off the pace is Romy.

The pick sheet is attached and the spreads are set. The first Sunday game is on at 6:30pst so set your clocks, and there are two Monday night games.

I think I have it figured out, so let's see how my new strategy works this week.lol

Okay..............

We have our first tie of the 2025 season and our first week without a 50+ point winner.

Tying for 1st place this week with a good score of 44 is Pam T and Timmy from Las Vegas, both getting their first mention of the year. Both had a great finish last year with Pam taking 3rd and Timmy taking 2nd in the overall. So it looks promising for them again in 2025. And what a wild finish it was on MNF between the Jags and Chefs to get there. We almost had our first 1-2 chick power week with Pam and Adrianna with two N's, but Trevor Lawrence had other plans as he stumbled to the win. Taking 3rd place with 39 and getting his first dip into the cashish in TWFP is rookie Andy M. 4th place goes to Jerry just one point behind and in 5th is Romy with 36, both getting their names on the board. Honorable mention goes to Kris. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!

In the overall points race, Jeremy remains in the lead for a another week and James C moves up two spots to take over 2nd. Terence holds firm in 3rd place. Both Romy and Andy M by virtue of their strong Week 5 move up into the top group in 4th and 5th. Just off the pace is Riel A.

Hard to believe we've played five weeks already. But there's a long way to go and it's still everybody's to win. Even the people at the bottom have plenty of time to turn it around, You just gotta Pick Em Good! If you can average 30+ points a week, you could be the next Champ of 2025, so sharpen those pencils.

Amazing the Saints got the their first win of the season in spite of Roger's goons and the most absurd roughing the passer call in the history of the NFL. Apparently you can't tackle a QB any longer, if he's thinking about throwing a pass, or you will get penalized for roughing the passer. I guess Goddell is still pissed at Payton and Brees for winning Stuper Bowl XLIV.

This weeks winner was in the 50's, making it four weeks in a row. This might be a first for TWFP.

Taking 1st place with a great score of 52 points and getting his second mention of the year is Jeremy! This is his first, 1st place since the Conference championship week of 2022 and second mention of the season. He's done well almost every year he's been in the pool, and he is off to a good start again in 2025. In 2nd place with a really good score of 49 is first year player Riel A. I'd say he's doing Riel good so far. It's also his second mention of the season. Taking 3rd place just one point behind with 48 is Adriana with one N, followed by Rory with 47 in 4th, both getting their first mention of the year. 5th place is a tie between Sean and Theresa both with 45. Honorable mention goes to Steven.

In the overall points race to be crowned Champion of TWFP 2025, and by virtue of his two good weeks in a row, Jeremy leapfrogs the field into the top group taking over 1st place. Moving up two spots into 2nd is Steven. Terence gives up the lead and drops two places to 3rd. James C moves up into the top group in 4th, and Richard drops three spots to 5th. Just off the pace is Maxx.

Okay, we had no one else get in, so the pool is closed at 65. Acccordingly, the caShiSh will be 125, 80, 55, 40, 25 for the weekly. For the overall 600, 400, 200, 100, 50, and 20 for the consolation prize of last place. Plus the winner gets the nifty Champions trophy to display with all of life's other great accomplishments. All checks will be deposited this week and check winners mailed out as well.
