Taking 1st place with a great score of 50 points was last weeks runner up, Jake from State Farm! The 2015 Champ must have taken the "so-so" comment to heart and sharpened his pencil. In 2nd place is Dr. Kevin T with a good score of 47. He had one second place last year in Week 12, so this is a better start for him in 2024. Just a point behind in 3rd place is our 2022 Champ Steve F with 46, his first mention of the year. Taking 4th with 42 is returning player Antonio getting his first dip in the ca$hi$h this season. And 5th is a tie between Chris M and Eddie P. Honorable mention goes to Gary and Rudy just a point out with 40. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!

In the overall points race, and by virtue of his two good weeks in a row, Jake FSF leapfrogs the field, taking over 1st place. Moving up three spots into 2nd is Mike H. Victor gives up the lead and drops two places to 3rd. Maxx drops two spots, and Rudy moves up into the top group in a tie for 4th. And just off the pace is Antonio.

Okay, we had no one else get in, so the pool is closed at 69, a new world record for TWFP! WooHoo! Acccordingly, the caShiSh will be 125, 90, 70, 40, 20 for the weekly. For the overall 600, 400, 250, 100, 50 and 20 for the consolation prize of last place. Plus the Champ gets the nifty TWFP trophy for their mantle. All PayPal and Venmo payouts will go out today. All checks will be deposited today and check winners mailed out as well.

Well it was looking like we might have a repeat winner after the Sunday games. But like it can happen in TWFP on Monday night, someone comes out of nowhere and moves past everyone to take the lead. And with two games being played, it was likely to happen.

Doing that and taking 1st place by way of his 10 and 8 pointers tonight was Terence V with an strong score of 46. He's off to another good start in 2024 after taking first in Week 10 last year, a couple of 3rds, and ending up in 5th overall. In 2nd place with 45 is Jake from State Farm(not his occupation) just a point behind the leader. A good start for our 2015 Champ too after have a so-so season in 2023. Tying for 3rd, both with 42 points is our 2015 runner up Mike H, and last weeks winner and last years runner up Victor! That's make two weeks in a row for both of them landing in the ca$hi$h. And all alone in 5th is Rick with 40. Honorable mention goes to Carson. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!

In the overall points race for the 2024 title, Victor remains in 1st for another week. Maxx moves up one spot to take 2nd. Adrianna with two N's stays in 3rd. Dropping three spots into 4th is Jared M. And moving up into the top group in 5th is Mike H. Just off the pace is Carson and Randy with Y.

So far it's been a very smooth ride for the Commish with everyone getting their picks in. Hasn't helped my scoring any, but it's nice not scrambling on Sunday mornings. Thank you all for that.

Week 2 is history..................

Taking 1st place this week with a really good score of 47 is last years runner up for the title, Victor. He had it wrapped up after Sunday night, so he got to sit back and see who would come in 2nd thru 5th. And that was Jared M with 45 who came out of left field with his 9 pointer and leap frogged everybody into 2nd. Taking 3rd with 41 was our webmaster Steven. 4th place went to first year player Richard L with 39, and 5th went to one of our founding members Mike H with 33. Honorable mention goes to Randi just a point off the pace at 32. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!

In the overall points race to be crowned Champion of THE Weekly Football Pool 2024, taking the early lead we have a tie between Jared M and Victor. 3rd is also a tie between Adrianna with two N's and Maxx with two XX's. And all alone in 5th is Randy with a Y. Just off the pace is David R and Jim K.

This week we have two MNF games with Jax @ Buffalo and Washington @ Cincy.

And the usual reminder, people can still get it the pool up to Week 4, in case there's anyone sitting the fence. After that, the pool will be closed.
