Getting back on track here, this weeks winner was none other than the birthday boy, my big brother Leo J. Eiffert Jr. aka Swampwater Fox aka Uncle Leo aka "Lee F****N O", a nick name given to him by his late great friend Toby Keith. He turned 80 yesterday, and he took 1st place going away with a near perfect score of 52. He was the winner no matter which way the Sunday night game ended up. Here's a pic of him entertaining the crowd Sunday at his birthday jam session in Apple Valley at Buckeye Jack's Saloon(photo). Taking 2nd place with a real good score of 47 is this years star so far, carrying the chick power torch, AndriaNNa with two N's. 3rd place went to Yours Truly with 44, probably because of my type-O of the KC spread on the website, making it easy for me to pick a 10 point game. The Raiders still almost did me in. 4th place went to Terence V just a point behind with 43 and in 5th place was Jeremy at 41. Honorable mention went to Chris M and Todd. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!

In the overall points race to win the coveted trophy and be crowned Champion of TWFP for 2025, Adrianna remains in 1st place for three weeks running. Jeremy stays in second, also for three weeks running after taking the top spot in Week 15. Terence V gets back into the lead group to 3rd. Jim K holds onto 4th, and Kris drops two spots to 5th. Just off the pace is Jake FSF.

Okay, so this coming week is the Wild Card Playoffs where we only have six games to chose from. The point values will be 10-9-8-7-6 and 5. MAKE SURE YOU ASSIGN THE CORRECT POINTS TO YOUR GAMES. Do not use 4-3-2 and 1 even though the website says to.

And, we have the all important Tie Breaker in play which is, THE TOTAL POINTS COMBINED OF ALL SIX GAMES. Consult your bookie if you're not sure what that is. You have to have the highest score, and the closest guess to the total points to win the weekly ca$hi$h. Veterans please help the newbies. The spreads and pick sheet will be out on Thursday morning

Also, the BcS championship college bowl pool starts Thursday night, so let me know if you're IN and send me you pick for national champion and tie breaker asap.

This weeks winner has finally broken the curse of The Bambino, getting his first ever 1st place in The Weekly Football Pool! Antonio rises to the top and takes 1st place with a good score of 42, and he's the only one to get more than 40 points this week. He's been close with a number of 2nd places since joining TWFP in 2017, so now he can scratch that one off his bucket list.lol

2nd place is a three way tie at 36 between Bill, Jake FSF and Jay J, getting his first mention of the year. 5th place goes to our 2024 Champion Rudy, just a point behind with 35. Honorable mention is a seven man log jam of David R, Efrain, Jeff T, Brother Leo, Rick, Riel and Sean all just a point out at 34. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!

For the overall points race to be crowned Champion of 2025, AdriaNNa reclaims the top spot in 1st. Terence V moves up one to 2nd. Jeremy drops down two to 3rd. Rory rejoins the lead group in 4th along with Andy M in 5th. Just off the pace is Sean.

This week we have the three holiday games on Thursday, one game on Friday, and the remaining games on Sunday and Monday, the same as last year. No byes. I'll get the pick sheet and spreads out early tomorrow morning to give everyone some time to overthink yours picks.

Well Well Well....................

The guy who always teases me about my weak, 1 point picks on Thursday night games has finally made a point. Actually he made 53 points and got a near perfect score this week. Taking 1st place whether Dallas covered or not, Rory "Mcllroy" Pernot makes a splash getting his first, 1st place since Week 12 of the 2022 season. This is his second time in the ca$hiSh this year and makes up for the awful season he had last year. Just kidding ole pal. Glad your boat finally came in. I thought I might be talking about our first 3 peat ever in TWFP, but it wasn't in the cards for AdriaNNa.

Taking 2nd place with a really good score of 46 is Jeremy. This is his fourth time in the honey this year, one of them being his 1st place in Week 4. This makes the seventh year in a row that he's gotten a return on his investment. Amazing! In 3rd place is Rick just a point behind at 45, getting his first mention of the year. He's another one who always seems to have credit in the bank for the next season. Taking 4th place is Jerry with 41, making it his third time ca$hing in 2025. And 5th place is a four way tie for coffee money between Bill, Eddie, Jake FSF and Randi all with 39. Honorable mention goes to Just Jared and Timmy from Las Vegas. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!

Alrighty then we have Eleven weeks on the books with Ten to go. For the first timers, our season goes through the playoffs. It's still anyone's title to win. It might take a couple of perfect scores for some, but you can still turn it around if you Pick Em' Good the rest of the way.

Alrighty then II, The week after next is Thanksgiving, and we will be doing the Turkey Day Bowl Pool once again. You guess the winner of all three NFL games on Thanksgiving Day and the total points combined of all three games. Winner takes all or splits if the points are a tie. Entry is $20. Who's IN?
