Taking 1st place in Week 3 was last years runner up from the bottom, Roger with 42. His first time in the cashish ever. His rookie campaign wasn't too good, but he's doing better this year. His nine pointer this week was a tough loss though.DOH!
In 2nd place we had a three way tie between Antonio, Pam and Theresa with 40. This is Pam's second time in three weeks in the honey so watch out for her this year. The consolation prize went to MikeM who came out of nowhere on Monday with his nine pointer to leap into the winning circle. Honorable mention goes to Jim who I thought was a lock for the last spot. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!:-$

For the overall title, no surprise Pam is leading the way, followed by Carson just four points behind. Roger moves up into the group in 3rd, followed by our 2015 Champ Jake From State Farm in 4th, and Brian C stays in the top five in 5th.

Okay, we have a nice group of 62 players, but if you have anyone else to bring in, this is the last week they can join. After week four the pool is closed and I can start the payouts. You know the drill about sending an email, etc but they must get in before the games start on Sunday morning.

Just a couple of things to note, the scoring system is set automatically for 30 minutes after the games end. When you see the scores updating during the games, I am doing that manually. So if they don't update as fast as your television, maybe I'm away from my PC and can't make the update. I can do them on my phone if I'm out of pocket, but it's tough. Remember, I'm a food broker not a bookie.

Okay we have our first tie of the season between Matt and returning player Tony, both with 43 points. For the newbies this means they will be splitting 1st and 2nd place money. Just two points behind in 3rd was Dale at 41. In 4th following in her sister Joy's footsteps was newbie Jozlyn at 39, getting in on the cashish.:-$ And taking the consolation prize was Packer fan Brett at 37. Honorable mention goes to Roger with 36. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!

For the overall points total, Brian C hangs on to his early lead in 1st for another week, followed by Tony, Carson, Dale and Joy.

There were some crazy happenings this week, another tie, this one between the Pack and the Vikes, the Saints survived a scare thanks to four missed field goals, and Vontae Davis had enough of Buffalo, pulled a Mark Wahlberg like in Rock Star, and just walked off the stage. I guess he had enough of that millionaire lifestyle.

Everybody did good getting your picks in on time this week. No stress for the commish.

At any rate, it's been two weeks already, and so we move on to Week 3.

Week 1 is done and on the books......................

Taking 1st place is Brain C going 8 for 10 and scoring 52 points. That's the way to pick them, if you are going to lose two games, make it your 1 and 2 pointer.

Also going 8 for 10 and establishing some chick power off the get go was Pam in 2nd place with 50. She missed her 2 and 3 and was oh so close to to taking first, if it wasn't for the color blind QB for the Raiders who kept throwing the ball to the guys in the white jerseys instead of his own team.

In 3rd place we have more chick power from Joy with 44, and tying for 4th was Carson and power chick Doodles just one point behind at 43.

Honorable mention goes to Antonio and Kevin T, just two points off the pace at 41. Congrats to the winners!:-$

We have a great field of 62 players. Woo Hoo! As it stands, the weekly payout will be as follows, 1st $120, 2nd $90, 3rd $60, 4th $25 and $15 for consolation prize. That will be adjusted if we have anymore players join. Checks will be written every four weeks.8-)

Total points payout will be $500, $350, $240, $100 and $50 for consolation.:-$

The Week 2 pick sheet will be sent Wednesday morning.
