Week 15 recap

Merry Christmas and Happy Holy days. Hope you're all having a great day enjoying the spirit of the season.

Congratulations to Rory, taking 1st place in Week 15 with 42 points! This is his first outright win since he joined the pool in 2017. He tied for first in week three last year, but nothing feels better than being #1 all by yourself. In 2nd place was one of the first year players, our very own 007, James Bond with 40 and his second time landing in the honey. 3rd place went to another newbie to the pool and no stranger to the cashish, Jared M was just a point behind at 39. 4th place was a four way time for some burger money between AdriaNa, Chris C, David K and Jozlyn, all with 38. Honorable mention went to and was a log jam at 37 between Craig J, Jim K, Jose C, Kevin Q, Mike H and Steve F. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!

In the overall points race, the top five remained the same, Jared M, Jake FSF, Gary T, Chon and Jose C. Just off the pace was Joe.

Okay, Saturday is under way and I have not picked a game yet. I'm thinking Arizona never plays well at home, and Indianapolis is on a roll and will shellac them. So you'd best go with the Cardinals who will probably be on fire today after last weeks disappointment in Detroit. Hope that helps you decide.lol

Again, I hope everyone is having a wonderful relaxing Christmas Day and that Santa put some coal in your stocking. You can sell it on Ebay for a premium price!

Okay, good luck to everyone. I hope to be looking down at you from the Gold Medal podium this week.

Week 14 recap

Okay then....getting back on track here.......

We almost had our first four way tie with perfect scores. That would have been incredible! And with all of the other people with scores in the 50's, the scoreboard looked like a Christmas tree there for awhile. But the Rams had other ideas and it wasn't to be.

We still had a tie for 1st with two great scores of 52 between the husband and wife team of Christina and Todd, and Eric B. This is C&T's first mention this year, and first, 1st place since they were our Champions in 2016. Eric B is making a habit of it as this is his fourth time on the honey and first, 1st place.

Taking 3rd place just one point out was Craig J with 51. This is his second time in the honey this year. 4th place went to Jeremy L with 50 and his first mention. And 5th place was a tie between Anna and Gary T both with 49. EXCELLENT scores for all the top five this week. Honorable mention went to Nancy and Bill. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!

And in the race for the overall points total, Jared M stays in 1st for another week along with Jake FSF in 2nd. Gary T joins the leaders again in 3rd. Chon drops one spot to 4th. And Jose C drops one into a tie for 5th with Joe. Just off the pace are Jay J and Mike M.

We have two Saturday games this week, and two next week on Christmas day. So four days a week, the pool will be in play. WooHoo! And the bye weeks are all done, so no more of that to deal with.

That means beginning Thursday, combined with all of the bowl games, nineteen of the next twenty days will be FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL!!! Be sure to pay your cable bill.lol

Okay, the pick sheet and spreads will be out sometime in the morning.

Week 13 results

Better Nate than lever....................the commish had too much eggnog again this week.

Alrighty then, taking 1st place in week thirteen with an impressive 52 points was Brian F., his first in a couple of years. He had a good late run in 2019, so maybe this is the start of something for 2021. In 2nd place was another guy having a good run this year, Chon with 49 points. That's two weeks in a row for him in the honey. 3rd place went to one of the new guys raking it in this year, Jared M with 48. Just a point behind at 47 was Eric B, another newbie scoring more cashish. And in 5th with 46 and getting her first mention of the year was Anna. Honorable mention went to Joe. CONGRATS TO ALL THE WINNERS!

In the overall points race, two of the "J's" trade positions, Jared M takes over the top spot again and Jake FSF drops one into 2nd. Moving up two to 3rd after two strong weeks was Chon. Jose C slips down one into 4th and joining the top group in 5th was another "J", Joe. Just off the pace is Gary T.

Okay, another exciting week on the books. We still have eight to go (18+3) so hang tough and pick em good. Still anyone's title to win if your name starts with a "J" or you can be near perfect the rest of the way.

Five people hit their 10 pointers on Thursday. Let's see where they end after Monday night.

Good luck to everyone this week who needs it,

Larry E
