Week 4 recap

This is getting out a little late. The Commish has been busy.

Our Week 4 winner is our own 007, James Bond coming in with 41 points. This is his first time in the honey and a good start for one of our first year players. Taking 2nd just a point behind with 40 was Steve F, who always seems to be in the hunt. In 3rd place with 39 is last years Champ, Mike M who is off to another consistent season. 4th place at 38 was Dr. Kevin T getting his first mention this year. And 5th place is a tie between Jake FSF and Jeff from Palmdale, both with 37. Honorable mention goes to Antonio and Pedro FP just one point out at 36. Interesting this week, all of the placements were separated by only one point. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!

For the overall points total, Jake FSF remains in the lead spot for another week. Last years Champ Mike M moves up into the top group in 2nd place. Jozlyn stays in 3rd, Jared M drop two spots to 4th, and Rudy has 5th place all to himself. Just off the pace is Joe.

Okay we are set with 58 players for 2021. The Pool is now closed to new entrants. We didn't get to 60, but I've decided to spread the wealth and pay out five spots anyway. The weekly amounts will be $125, $75, $50, $25 and $15. And the overall amounts will be $500, $300, $200, $100 and $60.

All checks will be deposited this week and winners paid through week four.

Everyone is doing a great job getting your picks in on time. THANKS!

The Week 5 pick sheet will follow in a separate email.

Good luck to everyone the rest of the way,

Larry E.

Week 3 recap

Alrighty now, we have our first tie of the year between Gary and Roger both ending up with 46. This is Gary's first 1st place since week 12 of the 2016 season, and Roger's since week 16 of 2018. About time guys.lol

In 3rd place with 43 points is one of the guys who was pulling hard for Philadelphia, last year's Champion of TWFP, Mike M. The other guy was Joe at 42 and 4th place. They might have been 1 and 2 if the Philly coach would have just tried to make the 1st down with 20 seconds in the half, instead of surrendering with a punt. If they make it, maybe they get close enough for a field goal and go in only down by 10 points. If not, Dallas doesn't have time to do anything and takes a knee at midfield. DUMB call Sirianni! In 5th place just a point back with 41 is Brian F, getting his first mention of the year. Honorable mention goes to the three Muskateers, Rory, Rudy and Steve G all with 40. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!

In the overall points race, newcomer Jared M moves up one spot to 1st place, Joe moves up to 2nd, Rudy into 3rd and Jake FSF and Jozlyn drop to a tie in 4th. Just off the pace is Mike M.

OK, the pick sheet will be out tomorrow morning.

Week 2 recap

And just like that we are two weeks into the season already. And so far "Chick Power" is ruling the roost.

Taking 1st place this week with a strong score of 45 was Adrianna with two N's. She was third overall last year and had two first's along the way. She's off to a good start already and looks to continue her winning ways from 2020.

In 2nd place with 40 was the guy who had a perfect score of 55 in week one last year, and who is also off to a good start in 2021, Jake From State Farm. This makes two weeks in a row he's landed in the ca$hi$h. In 3rd place just one point behind with 39 was Sister Joy. 4th was a tie between first year player Jared M and second year player Pedro for President, both with 36. Honorable mention goes to John just a point off with 35. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS!

For the overall points total, Jake FSF takes the early lead, newcomer Jared M is one point behind in 2nd, and Jozlyn is just one behind him in 3rd. 4th place is a tie between Joe and Rudy.

I'm not really pushing, but if you have someone who wants to get in TWFP, they can join up until week 4. After that the field will be closed.

Thanks also goes to Randi who mentioned the incorrect score of the NE vs NYJ game. Usually someone will let me know on Sunday that there's an error in the scoring. You guys are slacking off.lol

And hats off to everyone for getting your picks done on time too. It's been uneventful so far and that's good for the Commish, even though it doesn't show in his weak scores.

OK then, tallyho and away we go! The pick sheet will be out tomorrow.
