Week 1 pick sheet and Recap added

Alrighty then, here we go..........................................

The Week 1 pick sheet is attached, the spreads are set on the website and the games are ready for picking.

Let's all welcome back some experienced players, returning this year after a three year hiatus is Nancy E, and two guys who sat out last year Gary T and Nate.

And some new players donating to the cause this year are David K, Jay T and Jeremy L. Welcome to TWFP.

If you haven't done so yet, send your $125 love letter or Pay your Pal. Address and instructions are in the Rules on the front page of the website.

If you haven't tested your login and password, don't wait until game time please. It should be your first name and zip code. Email me if you need help.

We have 49 players right now and I'm hoping to get at least 50 with some last minute entries. I will figure out the payouts once we have a final number.

If you have anyone else that wants in, have them email me [email protected] and say who they are and that they are IN.

As always, we will allow new and returning players to get in up until week four. They must pay the full entry fee and will be given the league average points for the weeks they were not in.

For those not in this year and receiving this email, I will take you off the email list after Thursday.

Remember to Pick Em Good,

Larry E

Well....... we didn't have a perfect score like last year, but Week 1 finished with a bang thanks to the Raidas and Ravens!

Coming in 1st Place with a strong score of 48 was our 2019 Champion, Jozlyn! It was back an forth all night, but she prevailed in the end and is off to a good start for 2021. Taking 2nd with 44 was returning member Nancy E who email on Thursday, "I'm so happy to be back in"! Well now she has 75 more reason$ to be happy.

In 3rd place with 41 was new comer Jared M who looked like he was going to walk away with it early on, but was let down by the Ravens. 4th place went to Joe just one point off the pace at 40. And 5th goes to last years winner, Jake FSF with 38. Honorable mention goes to Rick at 32. CONGRATS TO ALL THE WINNERS!

So a heads up on the point spreads. As we all know, the commissioner is a food broker, not a bookie. So there might be some type-O's now and then such as the AZ vz TENN game. It didn't matter because the Cardinals won and covered the spread, so the outcome would have been the same.

The commissioner has decided to spread the wealth and pay out five spots for 2021. Here's the estimated amounts based on 58 entries. 125, 75, 50, 25 and 15 weekly and 500, 300, 200, 100 and 60 for the overall. If we get more entrants before week four, it will adjust accordingly. The first payouts will happen after week four when we know the final amount of players.

So just a reminder, that people can still get in the pool up to Week 4. If any veterans or new people want in, you know what to tell them, I'M IN!

The Week 2 pick sheet will be out on Wednesday.
